The owner of the Redbox movie-rental kiosks said third-quarter profit excluding some items was 60 cents, beating the 50-cent average of seven analysts’ estimates compiled by Bloomberg as DVD revenue surged. The company also forecast 2011 per-share earnings from continuing operations of $3 to $3.50, topping analyst projections of $2.93.

Deckers Outdoor Corp. (DECK)-Share of DECK rose 5.9 percent to $57.15. The maker of Ugg boots and Teva sandals raised its projected increase in 2010 adjusted per-share earnings to 22 percent from an earlier forecast of a 16 percent gain.
